Findhorn Experience Week

An introduction to the essence of the Findhorn Foundation.

The best way to experience this vibrant, international community is to immerse yourself in it. Experience Week is a unique opportunity to participate in an ecovillage community that is addressing both the externals of sustainable living and the heart of sustainability – the inner life of human beings in their search for meaning and purpose.

During these seven days you become part of a multi-generational, intercultural group of fellow adventurers, getting to know yourself more deeply, learning about the community and each other. It is an opportunity to experience the values of this dynamic community, to take part in daily activities in a new way, to explore how you can become more mindful of the interconnectedness of life, and more empowered and sustainable in how you live.

The Findhorn Foundation is an environment that supports personal growth – through listening deeply to our own inner voice, beyond the purely rational, and by letting go of limitations, opening to love and being the change we want to see in the world. Experience Week is full of opportunities for fun, laughter, making new friends, experiencing something new, being still, self-reflection and personal development.

In a challenging world where old systems are breaking down and the new story is not yet written, we invite you to explore who you really are and where you want to go in a creative, supportive and welcoming environment.

Join in community life here and experience our daily rhythms and spiritual principles. Four days of the week will include a few hours in one of our service departments: the gardens, kitchens, dining room, homecare or maintenance, giving you many opportunities to experience our practice of love in action and interact with other people in the community.

Experience Week runs at both sites of the Findhorn Foundation, The Park and Cluny Hill. You will have opportunities to visit both sites during the week.

You need to speak and understand English reasonably well – if you cannot, we offer Experience Weeks in other languages which you can see using the flag links top left of the page.

Experience Week is a rich and active week that asks for participation for most of the day and several evenings. We ask that you come willing to participate fully, to give of yourself and engage with others. Be open to surprise!

BOOKING YOUR EXPERIENCE WEEK
Please book as far in advance as you can to ensure the dates you prefer, as Experience Week is a popular programme. Please wait for confirmation of your booking before you travel, and arrange your travel plans so you can register between 11:00am and 12:15pm on the Saturday that your programme begins. It is important for you to be present for the first session of the week, which begins early Saturday afternoon.

TRAVEL
Please arrive before noon on the first day of your Experience Week, so that the group can begin together.

The programme runs from Saturday to Friday evening, and includes seven nights accommodation and all meals, from the first Saturday lunchtime through until breakfast on the Saturday morning of your departure.

ARE YOU BETWEEN 18 AND 25 YEARS OLD?
We are offering a reduction of £100 off for young people aged 18 to 25 years. We believe that everyone should be able to come here regardless of financial need and deeply wish to support young people at the start of their life journey.
